How it works
- Right away: your account is deactivated, your profile and posts are hidden.
- For 30 days: you can cancel by signing back in to the app.
- After that: the deletion is final.
What will be deleted
- Profile: name, email, phone, photo, biography, profession, city and last known position.
- Sign-in: your account and your login credentials.
- Posts and stories.
- One-to-one conversations: for you and for the other person.
- Events and businesses you created.
- Friends, follows, favorites and notifications.
Groups: you leave all of them; the ones you manage go to another member, and a group you were the last member of is deleted.
What is kept, without your name or photo
- Your unencrypted messages in groups, shown as “Deleted account” (your end-to-end encrypted messages are deleted).
- In end-to-end encrypted groups, a technical identifier of your account remains until a group member next updates the participant list.
- Technical backup copies may remain for a limited time.
Good to know
If financial operations are linked to your account, the deletion is refused: write to us.
Do you sign in with Google or Apple? This form asks for a password: delete your account from the app (in your Profile) or write to us.
