Overview
These Terms of Service (hereinafter "ToS") govern access to and use of the Diaspo Niger mobile application and all associated services (hereinafter "the Platform" or "the Services").

Purpose and Acceptance
2.1 Purpose
These ToS define the conditions for accessing and using the Diaspo Niger Platform, which offers:
- A social network for the Nigerien diaspora
- Messaging and communication services
- Community groups and events
- Money transfer services
- A directory of businesses and embassies
2.2 Acceptance
Use of the Platform constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these ToS.
By creating an Account, you declare that you have read and understood these ToS, accept them without reservation, are legally capable of entering into a commitment, and are at least 16 years old.
Access to the Platform
3.1 Technical Requirements
- A compatible smartphone (iOS 12+ or Android 6+)
- An internet connection
- A valid phone number
- A valid email address
3.2 Availability
We strive to ensure availability 24/7. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, force majeure events or technical issues beyond our control.
Registration and Account
4.1 Account Creation
To use the Services, you must create an Account by providing a valid email address, a phone number, a secure password and your first and last name. You may also register via your Google account.
4.2 Accuracy of Information
You undertake to provide accurate and up-to-date information, not to impersonate a third party, and to use your real identity.
Any false declaration may result in the suspension or deletion of your Account.
4.3 Account Security
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all activities carried out from your Account.

Usage Rules
6.1 User Obligations
- Not to publish unlawful content
- Respect the rights of others (intellectual property, privacy)
- Not to disseminate defamatory or offensive content
- Behave respectfully towards others
- Not to harass or threaten
- Not to attempt to compromise the security of the Platform
6.2 Prohibitions
Prohibited content and behaviours: Child sexual abuse material · Incitement to hatred or violence · Glorification of terrorism · Identity theft · Harassment in all its forms · Scams and fraud · Money laundering
User Content
7.1 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the Content you publish. Diaspo Niger acts as a hosting provider and does not exercise editorial control over Content prior to publication.
7.2 Licence Granted
By publishing Content, you grant Diaspo Niger a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and transferable licence to host, reproduce, display and distribute that Content within the scope of the Platform's operation.
7.3 Ownership of Content
You retain full intellectual ownership of your Content. Diaspo Niger claims no ownership rights over your creations.
Payment and Transfer Services
Important: Diaspo Niger is not a licensed payment institution. Payment services are subject to FINTRAC/CANAFE regulations.
9.1 Identity Verification (KYC)
- A valid government-issued ID
- Proof of address (depending on amounts)
- Information on the source of funds (depending on amounts)
9.2 Fees and Exchange Rates
Fees are clearly displayed before any transfer is confirmed.
Intellectual Property
The Platform and its elements (logo, name, design, code, features) are protected by intellectual property rights and are the exclusive property of Diaspo Niger.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Platform in accordance with these ToS.
Personal Data
The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these ToS.

Liability
13.1 Diaspo Niger's Liability
As a hosting provider, Diaspo Niger is not liable for Content published by Users, subject to promptly removing manifestly unlawful content once reported.
13.2 User Liability
You are responsible for your Content and its legality, your transactions on the Marketplace, the use of your Account, and any damages caused to Diaspo Niger or third parties.
Moderation and Sanctions
14.1 Sanction Scale

14.2 Appeals
To contest a sanction, send an email to support@diasponiger.com within 15 days. Your request will be reviewed within 15 days.
Termination
15.1 By the User
You may delete your Account at any time via Settings › Account › Delete my account, or by email to support@diasponiger.com.
15.2 By Diaspo Niger
We may terminate your Account in the event of a ToS violation, proven fraud, prolonged inactivity (24 months), or for any legitimate reason with 30 days' notice.
Mediation and Disputes
16.1 Amicable Resolution
In the event of a dispute, please contact us first at support@diasponiger.com to attempt an amicable resolution.
16.2 Consumer Protection
16.3 Competent Jurisdiction
Failing an amicable resolution, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts.
General Provisions
- Entirety: These ToS constitute the entire agreement between you and Diaspo Niger.
- Severability: If any provision is declared void, the remaining provisions remain in force.
- Language: Drafted in French. In the event of translation, only the French version shall prevail.
